Fleet
Run the fleet by the money.
BhutiFuel Fleet is the owner's side of the app that e-hailing drivers already use to log fuel. Every fill a driver logs, with litres, price and the odometer reading, rolls up on your dashboard for the last 30 days: what each car spent, what it covered, and where the numbers stop adding up. No tracking hardware, no extra typing for you, and the driver's own app does the logging.
Who it is for
Small fleets and owner-operators: the owner who still personally handles fuel admin and who needs to know, per car, what fuel is really costing. If the fleet has three to twenty cars, and fuel is a monthly line item you feel, the dashboard is built for that range. It works with the drivers' own phones and the logging they already do.
What the dashboard shows
- Fuel spend, distance and litres for the whole fleet over the last 30 days, rolled up automatically from each driver's logged fills.
- Cost per kilometre per driver, benchmarked against the fleet average, so a car that drinks more than its twins is visible in rands, not in feelings.
- Coverage per driver: how many days in the window have any log at all, with the longest quiet stretch. A week between fills is normal cadence. Two weeks of silence is a signal worth a conversation.
- Per-vehicle breakdown, so a driver with several vehicles gets each one split out, and a bakkie is never compared to a Swift.
Why the numbers can be trusted
The dashboard never takes a logged fill at face value. Every fill is cross-examined: the litres, the price and the odometer must agree with each other, with the vehicle, and over time. Anything that breaks that chain is flagged automatically, per driver, in plain language:
- odometer went backwards
- odometer jumped too far between fills
- consumption outside the physically plausible band for a road vehicle
- more litres in one fill than the tank can hold
- the same fill logged twice
Flags are prompts for a conversation, never verdicts. The owner sees who and where to look, checks the slips and the odometer with the driver, and decides. That framing protects the driver relationship: the numbers are on trial, not the person.
How drivers join
The owner adds a driver by the email their account signs in with. The driver gets an invite to accept in their own app, and only then do their fills and trips roll up to the fleet dashboard. Nothing is pulled from a driver's account without their acceptance, and the dashboard only works while the fleet plan is active.
Receipts and export
Each fill in the audit trail shows whether a receipt is attached, so evidence and numbers stay linked. The receipts themselves live in the driver's own private vault, not on the owner's dashboard. When the accountant, the bank or the partner wants paper, the fleet logbook PDF export puts the roster's last 30 days on one document with one tap.
What it costs
The Fleet plan is R300 a month, or R3 000 a year, including everything in Driver Pro. It is priced against what a single unflagged anomaly costs a fleet in a month, not per feature or per car. The fleet dashboard with the sample preview is available in the app without paying, so the conversation can start before the card.
The free fleet fuel audit
Six numbers and a WhatsApp number, about two minutes. We send back a one-page fuel health check with your current monthly spend, an illustrated 5% gap and the three things worth checking first. No hardware, no install, no obligation. You see the estimate immediately, and the same submission reaches us for a follow-up call.
Your one-page fuel health check
That last figure is an illustration of what 5% of your fuel spend would be worth, not a saving we promise. What BhutiFuel actually finds depends on your own numbers - that is what the audit is for, and we do not claim a saving before we have seen your data.
Three things worth checking first
- Cross-examine every fill: litres against the odometer and the tank size. A duplicate fill or a fill that exceeds the tank flags itself.
- Look at coverage, not just averages. A driver who has gone quiet for two weeks is the leak, not the loudest one.
- Reimburse at what the odometer says was physically possible, not at what the slip says. Evidence, not verdicts, keeps the driver relationship intact.
We have your details. We aim to WhatsApp you within one working day with the written version, the three findings and a 20-minute slot to walk through it.
